FRASSE AND THE PEAS OF KEJICK WALKTHROUGH Intro You are Frasse - a cute, blue, fluffy monster. You live a peaceful life in the jungle. Walk left, and pick up paper from the ground. Look at the paper in your inventory. To do this, you must right-click to access your inventory, and then click on the paper. Now highlight eyes to read paper. You learn that the king is looking for the peas of Kejick, and he is offering a reward for them. You decide to travel to Kejick, and look for those magic peas. What an adventure! Rescuing Gurra Look at the big block of stone to discover that your friend Gurra, is trapped behind this block. You need to find a way to free him. Walk right, and then up, so you are outside the Casa Blanca Bar. Search the mailbox to find an advertisement leaflet. Now enter the bar, and talk to everyone. Show paper to Blake Richards on the right. He suggests that if you are going to Kejick, you should not go alone. You should take your friend Gurra with you. Leave the bar. Outside the bar, use the upper-right exit. That rope hanging from the tree might be handy, if only you could reach it! Pick up wooden box, to put it over your head. Click on the rope to move the box underneath the rope. Now pick up the rope, and this time you can reach it. Now you still have to rescue Gurra. Pick up wooden box to put it over your head. Make your way back through the jungle, until you reach the block of stone that is trapping Gurra. You should still have the wooden box on top of you. Put the box down next to big block of stone, and watch it vanish, as if by magic. Gurra will now leave his cave. Talk to him to find out how he was trapped. Now show your paper to Gurra, and tell him about the magic peas of Kejick. From now on, you can switch between Frasse and Gurra. Enter Gurra's cave, and look at red mushrooms next to the bookcase. Yikes - a spider! Switch to Gurra by clicking on him. Now eat the red mushrooms, and you accidentally eat the spider that was scaring Frasse. Switch back to Frasse by clicking on him, and then pick up a red mush- room. The spider is gone, so you are not afraid anymore. The Loom Bird Leave the cave, and head right to the banana plant. Try to take a banana, but they are too high for you to reach. Switch to Gurra, and then kick the banana plant to knock the bananas down. Switch back to Frasse. Now pick up the bananas (and banana plant). Head up one screen, and enter Casa Blanca. Notice that there is a wooden banana on the counter. Try to pick it up, and Blake will tell you that he has to advertise his banana beer. Give your banana flower (you got it along with the bananas) to Blake, and he will throw away the wooden banana. Let's have some fun with Gurra now. Switch to Gurra by clicking on him, and then look at peculiar man on the left. Take notice of his 'Loom' shirt. Talk to him about everything, until you learn that those strange 'Loom' birds are very fond of bananas. Now look at Blake Richards, and talk to him about everything. Leave the bar, and use the upper-right exit. The wooden banana that Blake threw away is here. Switch back to Frasse, and pick up the wooden banana. Walk up, and return to the front of Casa Blanca. Walk left, and continue left (past Ike) until you see the Loom bird. You have learned that they are fond of bananas, so maybe you can use that to your advantage. As Frasse, use wooden banana with the bird to knock it out. Now switch back to Gurra, and get the bird. Curing Ike's Sneezes Walk right to Ike's Boat's. As Gurra, talk to Ike about everything, including his sneeze. He tells you that he has tried lots of honey drinks, but with no luck. Walk right, and enter Casa Blanca. Still as Gurra, talk to Blake, and ask about the sneeze. Blake knows a good sneeze cure, and he asks you to bring him some ingredients, so he can make up a batch. He needs, some honey, a spider ball mushroom, banana beer, and a banana. Blake already has the banana beer, but you need to find all the other ingredients. Switch to Frasse, and pick up sneeze cure ingredients list from the counter. Now leave the bar. Okay, let's get those ingredients. You should already have the banana (from banana tree) and the mushroom (from Gurra's cave). Walk down to the jungle, and (as Frasse) climb big tree on the right. Have a quick snooze on your branch if you want. When you are ready, use your rope with the branch, to tie it on. Now climb down again. Switch to Gurra, and then use the rope to be hoisted up. Talk to the bees about everything. Keep talking about the sneeze until they give you some honey, and then climb down again. Switch to Frasse, and pick up the rope. You should now have all the ingredients that Blake asked for. Head up one screen, and enter Casa Blanca. Give honey, bananas, and mushroom to Blake. He will give you a sneeze cure in return. Leave the bar, and head left to Ike's Boats. Give sneeze cure to Ike, and he will give you a free boat in return. The Boat Walk left to the beach. Your boat is here in a big box. Look at the box, and then open the box. The boat is in pieces, and you have to assemble it yourself. Click on box with parts to get the various pieces. You can also drop pieces onto the beach. Now assemble the boat as so: 1. Use medium boat piece from box with Starboard side. 2. Use large boat piece from box with Starboard side. 3. Use medium boat piece from box with Port side. 4. Use small boat piece with beach. 5. Click on port side to get medium boat piece. 6. Click on box to put medium boat piece away. 7. Use small boat piece from beach with port side. 8. Use medium boat piece from box with port side. 9. Use small boat piece from box with beach. 10. Click on Starboard side to get large boat piece. 11. Click on box to put large boat piece away. 12. Click on Starboard side to get medium boat piece. 13. Click on box to put medium boat piece away. 14. Use small boat piece from beach with Starboard side. 15. Use medium boat piece from box with Starboard side. 16. Use large boat piece from box with Starboard side. 17. Use small boat piece from box with beach. 18. Use large boat piece from box with Port side. 19. You should have a small boat piece left over. You have now assembled the boat, but you still need to find a way to make it sail. Click on the right edge of the screen to exit this close up. Remember the Loom bird that you got earlier. In your inventory, use rope with the bird to get a tied bird, and then use tied bird with the boat. Now your boat is all ready to sail. It just needs to be placed into the water. Switch to Gurra, and kick the boat into the water. You automatically sail to Kejick Island. Arriving At Kejick Island Look at wood on the left of the screen. Switch to Frasse, and pick up the wood. Now head up, and take the big leaves in front of you to find a troll. Switch to Gurra, and talk to the troll about everything. He's not very helpful, it he? Maybe there is another way to get rid of him. Head right (still as Gurra), and look at the red monster. Look at red berries on the right, and then eat them. You need to go and relieve your- self now. When you return, talk to the red monster (Affe) about everything. Now switch to Frasse, and pick up red berries. Return left to the troll, and then use upper-left path. Switch to Gurra, and talk to man (Tom) about everything. Now look at rock on ground to learn that it is flint. Switch back to Frasse, and pick up the stone (flint) from the ground, and then pick up backpack on the left, to get a pickaxe. Climb the hanging rope, and look at fireplace. Maybe you could build a nice fire in here. Use wood on fireplace, and then use your stone (flint) on the fireplace to get some flames. Use the big leaves on fireplace to create some thick smoke. Talk to woman (Laura) twice, to learn that she is climbing the mountain. Now climb back down the hanging rope. Head back to the troll, and switch to Gurra. Talk to troll, and talk about the dragon. You convince him that the dragon is coming after him, and he runs away (heehee). Now head up the middle path, which the troll was guarding. The Two Zak's Look at both 'Zaks' to see the signs around their necks. You need to get rid of these Zaks. Switch to Frasse, and give your red berries to North- going Zak. Now both Zaks have to relieve themselves, but they are both too stubborn to leave. Switch to Gurra, and talk to North-going Zak about everything. Gurra and Frasse will end up holding the signs, while both Zaks go to relieve themselves. Quickly switch back to Frasse, and then use the South sign (in your inventory) with Gurra. Frasse now has the North sign, and Gurra now has the South sign. When the Zaks return, they will be holding the wrong signs. As Frasse, talk to Zak on the left, to learn about compass directions. Now switch to Gurra, and talk to Zak on the left about everything. The Zaks will finally leave. Switch to Frasse, and pick up some snow to get a snowball. Head up the path, and pick up the flag. Try to pick up flagpole, but it is stuck. Use pickaxe on flagpole, and you will get a spade. Climb down, and then use spade on the patch of snow to find a tunnel. Caves of Colour Enter the tunnel (you automatically return the pickaxe), and you find your- self in control of Gurra. You need to find Frasse again. Head right, and look at the map. It seems that these caves have some kind of colour magic. Depending on what colour you are, you can enter different parts of the cave. Walk left, and look at the ladder. Kick the ladder, so it falls down. Now look at shelf on the right, and then kick the shelf. A boulder will fall down, and catapult you up to hit the lever. Continue forward, and then walk back through the middle door that you came from (yes, it is confusing). You are now in an orange room. Look at device, and then head back through door on the right (the way you came in). You should now be reunited with Frasse. Switch to Frasse, and head through door on the right. You will be in a red room. Because Frasse is a different colour to Gurra, he can access different parts of the cave. Look at the device, and look at the sign above it. Pick up the sign, and look at the 'thing' that was hidden behind it. Pick up the 'thing', and look at it in your inventory. Now you have to change your colour, so that you can access different parts of the cave. Pick up wooden box, to put on over your head. Go through either doorway, and you will find yourself outside again. Enter the cave again (still wearing the box), and you will be in the dark room with 3 doors. Put box down next to sparks, and then look at the sparks. Use 'thing' from your inventory with the sparks to make a brown room. Use wooden box again, to put on over your head, and then go through door on the right to return to the red room. Put down box next to door, and you will be blue again. Walk left, and pick up device. Walk through door on the right (into the green room), and then go right again, to find yourself outside. Enter the cave again, and you will find Gurra. Now remember in the red room, there was a door that said 'Warning: Here be Dragon'. You need to find a way to open that door. Switch to Gurra, and walk through door on the right. You are in an orange room. Now continue left to the red room. Look at the device, and then talk to the device to discover that you can talk to Frasse. Talk the the device again, and you will switch to Frasse. As Frasse, look at lever on the wall. This controls door in the red room (where Gurra is). Now look at sign in your inventory. It says 'OPEN + NOW - MAGIC'. You need to convert that into numbers. Remember the map that Gurra saw at start of the caves. It tells us that the letter O=9. Therefore, you have to change the other letters into numbers, thereby converting the word MAGIC into numbers. The answer is: MAGIC = 10257 Use lever on the wall, and then use up and down arrows to show 10257. Now pull the lever. In your inventory, talk to the device to switch back to Gurra. You are now Gurra again. Quickly kick wooden box to stop the 'Warning' door from closing. Now walk up, through the door, to find another communication device. Talk to the device, and you will switch back to Frasse. All this switching is making me dizzy!!! As Frasse, walk up through door on the right, and then walk through the 'Warning' door. You are reunited with Gurra (hurrah). Look at hot rock on the left, and use your snowball (you did pick up a snowball, didn't you?) with the hot rock. Now walk left a little bit, and look at the peas. Is this what you have been searching for? They don't seem so scary, so pick up the peas. Unfortunately, in your excitement, you have disturbed the dragon. You need to find a quick way out of here. In your inventory, use bananas with the small boat piece to create a sled. Now use boat piece on the mountainside to escape. You will arrive back at the riverside, where your boat is. Try to use your boat, but unfortunately, you have already released the Loom bird. Oh dear! Try to walk up, but the dragon will arrive to stop you. Give paper to dragon, and explain that you are on a mission for the king. The dragon (Houston) will agree to fly you back to the castle. The Castle Walk around to the front of the castle, and give your hard-earned peas to the guard. Unfortunately, you will be thrown into a cell. Look at all the scribblings on the wall, and find the drawing about instructions for folding a paper plane. Use sneeze cure ingredients list with this drawing, to make a paper plane. Use paper plane with window to 'fly' your plane, and get Houston's attention. He will burn a hole in the wall. Exit the hole, and pick up paper plane next to Houston's feet. Look at cell window on the left. Talk to cell window, and then talk to Cassie about everything. Walk right, and look at the roses. Pick up roses, and return left to Cassie's cell window. Use roses with the cell window, and Cassie will thank you. Walk right again, and look at the door. Open door to enter the kitchen. Talk to Tekla the cook about everything, and she will tell you that the princess has been kidnapped. The high wizard is blaming it on monsters (like you and Gurra), and is going to use the power of the peas to attack all monsters. Enter door on the left, and pick up huge lump of cheese at front of the screen. Leave the room, and go through door on the right. Climb circular staircase all the way to the top, and then climb the ladder. You are now in the Wizard's room. Walk right a little bit, and look for the pot. It is in the bottom shelf of a bookcase. Use cheese with the pot, and then pick up the pot. Now exit the room. Look at door on the right, and notice the golden crown. This is the princess's room. Try to enter the room, but it is locked. Head back down the stairs, and return to Cassie's cell window. Talk to cell window, and tell Cassie that 'The door to the princess's room is locked'. She will tell you about a secret tunnel. Now end the conversation. Give your pot with cheese to Houston (the dragon), and ask him to heat the cheese for you. Walk right, and enter the kitchen again. Walk through door on right, and climb up the stairs. Go through first door on the right, into the dining room. Look at flag on the wall, and then use flag. This will reveal a huge dog. Nice doggy! Talk to the dog, but he will not let you past. Give pot with melted cheese to the huge dog, and he will now let you past. You find yourself in the princess's bedroom. Look at space under the bed, and then use space under bed to get a green 'thingamabob'. Head through the door, and back up the spiral staircase. Climb up the ladder, into the wizard’s room. Use your 'thingamabob' with the open book on the table, and you will learn that it is a transformation thingamabob created by Janfrey (the wizard). Hmm, what was it doing under the princess's bed I wonder? Leave the room. Head down the stairs, and enter door on the left. This is the king's throne room. Use your thingamabob with king, as proof of Janfrey's treachery. Now talk to the king about everything. Notice that the princess’s name is Cassandra, and the monster from the cell is called Cassie. Notice any similarity? Janfrey will now reveal his true colours, and he is arrested for high treason. You have saved the kingdom, and you get to choose your reward.
